Count QR scans—with a clear explanation of the number

Janti QR reports total redirect requests for a saved dynamic QR code. The counter is not a unique-person, location or device report; its limits are part of the feature description.

The short answer: The QR history counter counts total Janti redirect requests. It does not identify unique visitors; repeat scans can count again.

How does the counter work?

When a Janti redirect QR is scanned, the redirect record is updated and its total increases. The count appears in QR history. The QR must use a Janti redirect address for the counter to receive the request.

What does it not show?

The feature reports total redirects. It does not report unique people, devices, demographics or a visitor’s location. The QR counter does not store a scanner’s IP address as a scan record.

Do older QR prints count?

A QR that encodes a website URL directly bypasses the Janti redirect, so it cannot be counted retroactively. A tracked dynamic QR uses the Janti redirect address.

Free to use, simple to interpret

Janti QR is currently available without a subscription fee. The counter can help show a rough total of redirect activity; do not treat it as detailed campaign analytics or individual-user tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR counter show unique scanners?

No. It counts total redirect requests. A repeat scan by the same person may count again.

Does the scan counter save IP addresses?

The QR redirect counter does not save the scanner’s IP as a scan record. Separate account-security processing is described in the in-app privacy notice.

Which QR code can be counted?

A saved dynamic Janti QR that uses a Janti redirect. A static QR encoding a URL directly does not feed this counter.

Where can I see the number?

Sign in and open the relevant dynamic QR record in QR history; its total redirect count is shown there.

Is QR scan counting free?

Janti QR is currently available without a subscription fee. Sign-in and an active saved dynamic record are required.
